Nature's Classroom =D

To make a difference, education is one of the key components, as only then will people know HOW to make a difference.

Learning can be done ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE...
and today, the lower primary students from Da Zhong Primary School came to GardenAsia to experience the meaning of an outdoor classroom.

Upon arrival, everyone gathered at BlueSky before getting split into different activity stations...

The students went on an edutour led by Yve and Alicia...

They got to pet living breathing frogs and mealworms...

... and the students also got to try out tree bark shading at our mini-golf area =D

After exploring GardenAsia, the students headed over to our neighbouring farm, Bollywood Veggies.
There, they embarked on the Bollywood Quest =)

Hmmm... where is everybody? Why aren't they here yet?

Ah... there they are!

Everyone let's head over to the man-made hut...

Before the students set off for their Bollywood Quest, Kenny did a short briefing and gave them some instructions.

He taught them how to read the map in the handout so that they would not get lost during the quest.

Before long, the students were off on their quest, running around Bollywood Veggies in search of the right answers to the questions in the booklet.

Kenny helped this group by giving them guidelines to finding the eco-toilet named Jack-A-Loo Sorprise.

The Jack-A-Loo is a unique eco-toilet that does not require any flushing system. Any waste matter will decompose and return back to nature as fertilizer.

The students were made to go inside 4 at a time to take a look at what an eco-toilet is like.

We hope that through these activities, the students and teachers learn to appreciate nature and to treasure our environment in a new way.
